Near the end of last week, Microsoft announced it had isolated the cause of an issue afflicting a minority of Windows 10 users that occurred after upgrading to the Anniversary Update released at the start of August. Some users who had moved app data to a secondary drive were experiencing freezes after logging in once the update was applied. The issue has been corrected via a Windows Update, and users who have rolled back after installing the Anniversary Update can now safely upgrade again.
